Alanya counted the foreign citizens

Alanya counted the number of foreign citizens living in the city on a permanent basis.

According to the Turkish Institute of Statistics (TÜİK), a total number of 14,149 citizens were registered in Alanya. There are mostly Germans (more than 3 thousand people), as well as Russians (2,5 thousand people).

Also, Alanya is a home for 962 Iraqis and 735 Ukrainians. Representatives of other countries are much smaller.

It is worth noting that while counting, only foreigners with Turkish citizenship and permanent residence were considered. Meanwhile, there are also foreigners who have real estate here, residence permit or work in Alanya increases the number several times more.

In total, according to data from last year, the population of Alanya is slightly more than 300 thousand people.
