17 million Turkish students begin school year
More than 17 million students from primary to high school will begin the school year today along with some 1 million teachers.
The first term will end on Jan. 19.
The official end of the school year will be June 8, 2018.
There will be increased traffic on the roads at metropolitan centers, with municipal authorities calling on commuters to prefer public transportation.
