Turkey will have the world's largest wind power plant in the sea

A tender for the construction of the worlds largest offshore wind power plant station has been announced in the Republic of Turkey.

The capacity of the new power plant will be 1200 MW.

The coastal zones of Kiyikoy, Saros and Gelibolu are being considered as the possible areas where it will be built. Note that this power plant will become Turkeys largest wind power station located in the sea.

Applications for participation in the tender are accepted until October 23rd, the time for the tender is not specified yet.

Note that, a lot of attention is being paid for the construction of power plants that operate on renewable energy sources in Turkey. Now, there are about a hundred of them in the country, and soon it is planned to increase the number of both solar and wind power stations several times.
