Turkey wants to simplify the procedure of obtaining citizenship

Getting citizenship from Turkey will become even easier.

Chairman of the Association of Real state Investments GYODER Feyzullah Yetgin, made a proposal to foreigners that citizenship will be given to them if they purchase a real estate object with the amount of 300 thousand dollars.

Recall that at the moment, citizenship is given to foreigners who purchase real estate in Turkey for 1 million dollars.

“Our sales are growing, but this is not enough. For example, In Spain, foreigners purchased real estate for 25 billion dollars last year. And we have fewer times. We must use all mechanisms and ways to attract foreigners to purchase in our country more actively,” emphasized Yetgin.

Also, he notes that the price limit of 1 million dollars is not very effective because, basically, foreigners purchase less expensive real estate in the country.

If amendments to the law on citizenship are adopted, experts predict a sharp increase in the number of transactions for purchase and sale, as well as an increase in the cost of housing.
