Turkey wants to reduce the duty-free barrier for online shopping

Turkey is planning to reduce the duty-free barrier for online purchases at foreign online stores.

The relevant project was prepared by the Ministry of Customs and Trade of Turkey.

The draft proposes to reduce the duty-free barriers from 30 to 22 Euros. At the same time, for goods of an educational nature duty-free import will be possible up to 150 Euros.

Therefore, the Turkish legislation will come in line with the European legislation on this issue.

After the adoption of the new rules in the law, the customers who have already made purchases on the internet within 15 days, can pay the customs duty with the old standard way.
