🏨 80% of Alanya Hotels Will Close by Mid-November

According to the Alanya Tourism Hoteliers Association (ALTİD), around 80% of hotels in Alanya are expected to end their season after November 15 and begin preparations for the next tourist season.

Only around 11% of hotels operate year-round, according to the association.

Does this mean Alanya closes for winter?

No. The end of the hotel season does not mean that Türkiye’s popular Mediterranean resort becomes inactive during the winter.

Thanks to its mild climate, Alanya continues to attract residents and visitors throughout the colder months. Apartments can also be rented for several weeks or months, making the city an option for those who want to spend part of the winter by the Mediterranean.

Why visit Alanya in September and October?

September and October are often considered a comfortable period for visiting Alanya. The sea remains warm, there are fewer tourists compared with the peak summer months, and the weather is generally pleasant for walking, exploring the city and spending time outdoors.

Winter offers a completely different atmosphere. The city becomes quieter, allowing visitors to explore Alanya without the usual tourist rush and get a better impression of everyday life here.

For those considering a longer stay or even moving to Alanya, the winter months can also be a good opportunity to explore different neighborhoods, infrastructure and the pace of life outside the summer season.
