🚢 2,500 People Arrive in Alanya. Tourists or a Small Population?

Today, the cruise ship Marella Discovery arrived at the port of Alanya.

There were 1,765 tourists and 735 crew members on board, bringing the total number of people arriving on the ship to exactly 2,500.

Part of the passengers went out to explore Alanya, while others joined safari tours. In other words, the visitors did not simply arrive at the port and stay on board, but also went into the city to see the local sights and experience the area.

A busy day for Alanya

For a Mediterranean resort city, cruise arrivals are another way to bring international visitors into the local tourism scene. Passengers can spend several hours exploring the city, visiting attractions, joining excursions and discovering what Türkiye has to offer.

And 2,500 people arriving at once is quite a noticeable number. For comparison, that is enough to fill a small neighborhood or a large residential complex.

Would you like to arrive in Alanya by cruise ship and spend a day exploring the city? 🚢
