New museums will open in Turkey

This year, in the Republic of Turkey, there are nine new museums are planned to be opened at once. In addition, work on the preparation for the opening will be conducted in four more museums.

In particular, the new museums will appear in Antalya and Mugla (ethnography museums), a museum in Amasya, Ataturk’s house museum in Kayseri, and an archaeological museum Archeopark in Sanliurfa. Also, there will be new museums in Edirne, Malatya and other Turkish cities.

Recall, 14 historical sites were restored last year. In total, Turkey has more than 300 state museums and nearly 300 private museums, as well as 125 tombs and nearly 600 various private collections

Museums in Turkey are being visited by tens of millions of people, both local and foreigners.
