Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to Sign Trilateral Defense Agreement
Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are expected to sign a trilateral defense agreement during a high-level meeting in the Saudi city of Jeddah, according to security sources.
The agreement is scheduled to be signed on 7 August 2026 during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's one-day working visit to Saudi Arabia.
Leaders Meet in Jeddah
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Saudi Arabia on Friday, where he is expected to hold talks with:
- Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman;
- Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif.
The trilateral defense agreement is expected to become one of the key outcomes of the meeting.
Regional Security Cooperation
The planned agreement reflects growing defense and security cooperation between the three countries amid ongoing geopolitical challenges in the Middle East and South Asia.
The official details of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.
Diplomatic Efforts Continue
The meeting also comes as all three countries remain actively involved in regional diplomatic initiatives.
- Pakistan has participated in mediation efforts aimed at ending the conflict between the United States and Iran.
- Türkiye has continued diplomatic initiatives supporting a ceasefire in Gaza.
