Foreign direct investment reaches $1.5 billion in January–February 2026

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Türkiye reached $1.5 billion in January–February 2026, according to data from the Association of International Investors (YASED).

📈 Strong start to the year

Only in February, the country attracted $780 million in foreign investments, showing continued interest from global investors despite global economic uncertainty.

📌 Since 2003, total FDI inflows into Türkiye have now exceeded $289 billion, highlighting the country's long-term attractiveness for international capital.

🌍 Top investing countries

In the first two months of 2026, the leading investors were:

  • 🇩🇪 Germany – $198 million
  • 🇳🇱 Netherlands – $118 million
  • 🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates – $95 million

These three countries dominated overall inflows for the period.

📊 February breakdown

In February alone, investment shares were more diversified:

  • UAE – 18%
  • Singapore – 15%
  • USA – 15%
  • Germany – 14%
  • Spain – 9%

European Union countries accounted for 35% of total investments in February, while their long-term share (2003–2025) remains dominant at 59%.
