Turkish Cherries Return to China After Pandemic Pause

Turkish cherries are officially returning to the Chinese market after a pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision marks a significant step in restoring agricultural trade between the two countries.

Chinese inspection teams have already visited orchards, packaging facilities, and processing plants across several regions in Turkey. Following their assessment, authorities have given approval for renewed exports.

The cherry harvest season in Turkey will continue until August, ensuring strong supply capacity for export markets.

Global Export Reach

In addition to China, Turkish cherries are exported to more than 60 countries worldwide, making Turkey one of the key global suppliers of cherries.

The reopening of the Chinese market is expected to strengthen Turkey’s agricultural exports and expand its presence in high-demand Asian markets.
