Turkey is ensuring the delivery of natural gas to Europe through the TurkStream Pipeline, with shipments recently increasing by 10%.
The announcement was made by Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy of Türkiye, who highlighted that the project secures energy supplies for European countries such as Serbia and Hungary.
“Thanks to the TurkStream project, we can guarantee safe natural gas deliveries to European nations. Our energy strategy is built on diversifying suppliers, routes, and delivery methods,”
Bayraktar said during an interview with Ulke TV.
He also addressed regional energy concerns, noting that the situation around the Strait of Hormuz does not threaten Turkey’s energy security, as the country receives only about 10% of its oil and petroleum product imports through that route— a manageable volume for the Turkish economy.
Additionally, Bayraktar revealed that Turkey is exploring alternative energy supply projects from the region, including potential pipelines from Iraq, reinforcing its strategy of diversification and long-term energy security. 🔌 Diversification: suppliers · routes · delivery methods
