Turkey–Saudi Arabia High-Level Meeting in Ankara Today

🇹🇷🇸🇦 Important Turkey–Saudi Arabia Meeting Takes Place in Ankara

A significant diplomatic meeting is being held today in Ankara between Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The talks are taking place amid ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the two countries in key strategic areas.

📌 Main topics of discussion

The agenda of the meeting covers several important directions of cooperation:

  • possible visa exemption (currently applicable only to diplomatic passports)
  • expansion of economic cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia
  • security issues and the current situation in the Middle East

🤝 Coordination Council meeting

In parallel with the bilateral talks, Ankara is also hosting the 3rd meeting of the Turkey–Saudi Coordination Council.

The Council focuses on long-term cooperation projects and strengthening institutional ties between the two countries.

❗ Key outcome expected

One of the most closely watched issues of the meeting is the possibility of signing a visa-free travel agreement between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

However, there is still no official confirmation that such an agreement will be concluded today.
