Turkey Confirms Stable Gas Supplies Despite Regional Tensions
The Turkish government has officially stated that there are no disruptions in natural gas supplies from Iran, despite recent geopolitical tensions in the region.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar emphasized that the country’s energy system remains stable and secure.
“Nothing like this is happening. There are no problems with natural gas supplies. Storage facilities are filled at 71%.”
This statement was made in response to a report published by Bloomberg, which claimed—citing sources—that Iran had allegedly suspended gas exports to Turkey following an Israeli strike on a major gas field in the South Pars region.
Energy Security Remains Strong
According to official data, Turkey’s gas storage levels are sufficient to ensure uninterrupted supply, even in case of temporary external disruptions.
