Trump: US Will Block Iran From Getting Nuclear Weapons

Trump: The United States Will Not Allow Iran to Obtain Nuclear Weapons

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, even if global oil prices rise to $200 per barrel.

He also warned that Americans should expect high fuel prices to persist in the near future.

Security remains the top priority

Speaking to journalists at the White House, Trump emphasized that national security remains the top priority despite potential economic consequences linked to rising oil prices.

“There is nothing worse than the destruction of one, two or three of your cities by nuclear weapons. There is nothing worse than the destruction of the Middle East, including Israel, or attacks on Europe with missiles,” Trump said.

Previous remarks

Earlier the same day, the U.S. president also ruled out the use of American nuclear weapons against Iran.
