10 Sailors Missing After Ship Collision in the Marmara Sea
🇹🇷🚢 A serious maritime accident occurred in the Sea of Marmara early Wednesday morning after two Turkish-flagged commercial vessels collided off the coast of Silivri in Istanbul.

The Turkish-flagged commercial vessel Alsu, which was sailing from Kocaeli to Aliaga, collided at around 03:00 local time with the Turkish-flagged commercial vessel Tuğberk İmamoğlu, which was traveling from Iskenderun Port to Karadeniz Ereğli.
The collision occurred approximately 18 nautical miles south of Silivri, in the Sea of Marmara.
🚨 Authorities have lost contact with Tuğberk İmamoğlu and all 10 members of its crew.
🚨 Search and rescue operation underway
Following the collision, multiple maritime units from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety and the Coast Guard Marmara and Straits Command were dispatched to the scene.
A Coast Guard helicopter was also sent to the area to support the search and rescue operation.
Initial assessments by the responding teams found no visible damage to the Alsu.
However, authorities have been unable to establish contact with the Tuğberk İmamoğlu or the 10 crew members who were on board.
Search and rescue operations are continuing in the area.
