🎓 Private Universities in Türkiye Announce Higher Tuition Fees for the New Academic Year

Private universities across Türkiye have announced updated tuition fees for the new academic year following the publication of the YKS university entrance examination results. The largest increases have been recorded in Medicine and Dentistry, which remain the country's most expensive degree programs.

Students preparing to enroll in private universities will face significantly higher education costs, with some annual tuition fees now exceeding ₺3.7 million.

📌 Updated tuition fees were announced shortly after the release of the 2026 YKS examination results.

💰 Highest Tuition Fees for 2026–2027

The most expensive programs are concentrated in medicine, dentistry, and aviation training.

  • Nişantaşı University – Dentistry: ₺3,740,000 per year.
  • Yeditepe University – Medicine: ₺2,300,000 per year.
  • Koç University – All programs except Medicine: ₺2,180,000 per year.
  • Başkent University – Medicine: ₺1,980,000 per year.
  • Koç University – Medicine (50% scholarship): ₺1,624,500 per year.
  • Özyeğin University: ₺1,375,000 per year.
  • Bilkent University: ₺1,295,000 per year.

✅ Medicine and Dentistry remain the most expensive university programs in Türkiye.

✈️ Pilot Training Requires Additional Fees

Students enrolling in aviation programs should also consider the cost of practical flight training, which is charged separately from academic tuition.

  • Academic tuition at Özyeğin University: $16,500 per year.
  • Mandatory flight training: €73,500.

The total cost of becoming a commercial pilot is therefore substantially higher than the standard tuition fee.

📈 Why Tuition Fees Have Increased

Private universities regularly revise tuition fees before each academic year. Prices are influenced by operating costs, inflation, investments in educational facilities, laboratory equipment, international partnerships, and faculty development.

Medical, dental, and aviation programs generally require specialized laboratories, clinical training, modern equipment, and practical education, making them the most expensive disciplines offered by private institutions.

The publication of the new tuition fees provides prospective students and their families with updated information as they prepare university applications and financial plans for the upcoming academic year.

ℹ️ Applicants are advised to check each university's official website for scholarship opportunities, discounts, payment plans, and the latest admission requirements before completing enrollment.
