Türkiye Economy Grows 2.5% in First Quarter of 2026
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released Gross Domestic Product data for the January–March period of 2026.
According to the report, Türkiye’s economy expanded by 2.5% year-on-year, showing continued growth despite external pressures.

- Industry: –0.8%
Exports declined by 12.7%, while imports decreased by 2.0% during the same period.
Overall Economic Size
The total size of Türkiye’s economy in the first quarter reached nearly 17 trillion Turkish lira, equivalent to approximately 389.6 billion US dollars.
Despite a decline in exports, growth was supported by strong domestic demand, construction activity, and the services sector.
