New Regulation on Nursing Homes and Elderly Care Comes into Force Across Turkey
A nationwide regulation governing nursing homes and elderly care and rehabilitation centers has officially entered into force in Turkey following its publication in the Official Gazette. The new legal framework establishes unified standards for the provision of services to elderly citizens across the country.
The announcement was made by Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, who emphasized that the regulation is aimed at improving the overall quality of care and strengthening supervision in facilities that serve elderly residents.
The new rules apply to all 7 geographical regions and 81 provinces of Turkey, ensuring a consistent level of care nationwide.
