Türkiye to Require English KAP Disclosures from All Companies

Türkiye to Require English KAP Disclosures from All Companies

🇹🇷📈 Türkiye Opens Its Stock Market to the Global Market

Starting October 1, 2026, all publicly traded companies in Türkiye will be required to publish material disclosures through the Public Disclosure Platform, known as KAP, simultaneously in Turkish and English.

➡️ Previously, this requirement applied only to the largest companies. From October, it will cover all issuers listed on Borsa Istanbul.

What will change?

  • 🎯 Responsibility: Companies themselves will be responsible for the accuracy of the English version. The Turkish original will remain legally binding.
  • 💡 For investors: International investors will no longer have to wait for translations or rely on poor automatic translations when following company disclosures.
  • ⚙️ For businesses: Companies will need to adapt their investor relations processes and ensure access to qualified financial and legal translators.

For international investors: Simultaneous Turkish and English disclosures should make it easier to follow important developments at companies listed on the Turkish stock market.

Why is this important?

The expansion of the bilingual disclosure requirement is expected to make information from Türkiye’s publicly traded companies more accessible to international investors.

For companies, however, the change means that investor relations teams will need to prepare accurate English versions of important disclosures without delaying the publication process.

🌍 The move could make Borsa Istanbul more accessible to global investors and contribute to greater transparency in Türkiye’s capital markets.
