Central Bank of Turkey Reserves Continue to Rise

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has reported a continued increase in the country’s international reserves, reaching a total of 171.529 billion US dollars.

This growth reflects both an increase in foreign currency holdings and a significant rise in gold reserves over the past week.

Weekly Reserve Growth

  • Foreign currency reserves increased by 3.964 billion US dollars
  • Gold reserves increased by 2.082 billion US dollars

Current Reserve Structure

The latest data shows the following breakdown of Turkey’s reserves:

  • Gold reserves: 110.965 billion US dollars
  • Foreign currency reserves: 60.564 billion US dollars

Economic Impact

Economists state that the increase in reserves strengthens Turkey’s financial stability and improves investor confidence in the national economy.

Rising reserves are generally viewed as a positive indicator of macroeconomic resilience, providing additional support for currency stability and external financial obligations.
