New Bus Ticket Refund Rules in Turkey Explained

🇹🇷🎟 Bus Tickets in Turkey Can Now Be Refunded Without Penalty Up to 12 Hours Before Departure

Passengers using intercity bus services in Turkey will now be able to cancel their tickets without any deduction if the cancellation is made at least 12 hours before the scheduled departure.

• Refunds without penalties are available if the cancellation is completed no later than 12 hours before departure.
• Bus companies are now required to offer an “open ticket” (açık bilet) option, allowing passengers to reschedule their trip up until departure time.
• The regulation was introduced following amendments published in the Official Gazette under the Road Transport Regulation.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that the changes aim to strengthen passenger rights and support the digitalization of the transport system.
