Turkey plans gas pipeline between Alanya and Northern Cyprus
Turkey has announced plans to build a new natural gas pipeline connecting Alanya and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The project is expected to become an important step in strengthening regional energy infrastructure.
According to Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, the pipeline will have a total length of 97 kilometers and is planned to be completed within this year, while the official launch is expected in 2028.
The project aims to improve energy security and strengthen Turkey’s strategic position in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
