Renault Clio Named Car of the Year in Türkiye 2026
Renault Clio has been named Car of the Year in Türkiye 2026 by the Automotive Journalists Association of Türkiye (OGD), reaffirming its strong popularity among both drivers and industry experts.
The prestigious competition, held for the 11th time, is considered one of the country’s most respected automotive awards. This year, the winner was selected by 67 professional automotive journalists from the OGD jury.
Renault Clio takes the top title
Following the final vote, Renault Clio scored 3,360 points, securing first place and earning the main award.
The award ceremony took place at Rixos Shipyard Istanbul, where the industry gathered to celebrate the best vehicles and innovations of the year.
Renault Clio’s victory highlights the model’s continued success in Türkiye thanks to its affordability, fuel efficiency, and modern technology.
Seven finalists competed for the title, making the selection highly competitive.
OGD Chairman Murat Öztürk noted that all seven finalists were strong contenders, making the jury’s decision particularly challenging.
BMW dominates special categories
Although Renault won the main award, BMW became the most awarded brand of the ceremony, taking home three prestigious titles.
