Antalya Expands Mediterranean Sea Cleanup with Waste-Collecting Robots
🌊 Antalya is stepping up efforts to clean the Mediterranean Sea from plastic and other floating waste.
During the first 10 days, special marine units collected 27 m³ of waste — including plastic, packaging, Styrofoam, wood and other debris that does not belong in the sea.
🤖 Robot Waste Collectors Join the Cleanup
Now, robot waste collectors are joining the fight. They will collect floating waste directly from the surface of the sea.
At the same time, authorities are inspecting plastic recycling facilities and looking for possible land-based sources of pollution.
🧹 Cleanup Along the Antalya Coast
The cleanup will cover the entire coastline — from Kaş to Gazipaşa.
The goal is to reduce marine pollution and keep the Mediterranean coastline cleaner.
Looks like the sea decided to do some summer cleaning too! 🌊✨
