Alanya Yacht Sector Backs New Safety Rules
⛵️ Yacht Owners in Alanya Fully Support New Safety Regulations
The Yacht Cooperative of Alanya has officially expressed its support for a new directive issued by the Antalya Provincial Administration. The regulation introduces stricter standards for maritime tourism operations in the region.
📋 New requirements for yacht operations
The updated rules focus on improving safety and sustainability in the sector, including stricter control over:
- 🔹 Passenger safety standards
- 🔹 Vessel capacity regulations
- 🔹 Environmental protection measures
- 🔹 Noise level restrictions
💬 Industry response
The head of the Alanya Yacht Cooperative, Süleyman Yücesan, stated that responsible companies in the sector already comply with similar standards, meaning the new requirements will not create operational difficulties for them.
“Reputable operators have long been working in line with these standards. For them, the transition will be smooth,” he noted.
At the same time, he stressed the importance of addressing illegal vessels operating without proper licenses, as they create unfair competition and safety risks in the sector.
🌊 Impact on maritime tourism
Industry representatives believe the new regulations will help raise overall service quality in maritime tourism, enhance passenger safety, and further strengthen Alanya’s reputation as one of Türkiye’s leading coastal destinations.
The reform is expected to contribute to more sustainable and professionally regulated yacht tourism in the region.
