First 450-Ton Grove GMK6450-1 Crane Arrives in Türkiye
Türkiye has received its first 450-ton Grove GMK6450-1 all-terrain crane, delivered to rental company Bizim Vinç. The unit becomes the new flagship machine in the company’s heavy lifting fleet and marks an important addition to high-capacity lifting equipment in the country.
Key Specifications of the Crane
The six-axle crane is equipped with a five-section 60-meter main boom. It can also be extended with a 79-meter luffing jib, allowing a maximum tip height of 136 meters.
The model includes advanced lifting technologies such as the Maxbase variable outrigger system and the Mega Wing Lift Superlift system, which significantly increases lifting performance when deployed.

First Operational Use
The crane was first deployed on a project for contractor Rönesans, supporting the construction of a viaduct on a highway near Istanbul’s Sazlıbosna district. During this operation, it was used to lift formwork elements.
Upcoming Projects
Following its initial deployment, the crane has already been assigned to additional projects, including:
- Hangar assembly support at İGA Istanbul Airport
- Modernization works at a cement plant owned by Limak Holding
Company Statement
Bizim Vinç owner Mahmut Efek stated that the investment has significantly improved operational performance and expanded the company’s lifting capabilities. He highlighted that the crane’s compact design allows efficient work even in tight spaces, while also increasing the company’s visibility in the market.
Thanks to the compact design and advanced technology of the crane, we can now carry out demanding lifting work in the tightest of spaces much more efficiently.
Fleet Expansion in Türkiye
Based in Çatalca, northwest of Istanbul, Bizim Vinç operates a diversified fleet including telehandlers, scissor lifts, spider lifts, truck-mounted cranes, knuckle boom cranes, and all-terrain cranes. The arrival of the 450-ton GMK6450-1 further strengthens its position in the heavy lifting market.
