Die Türkei verkauft Honig in 59 Länder

Die Türkei exportierte Ende letzten Jahres Honig im Wert von fast 32 Millionen US-Dollar. Mittlerweile liegt das Land weltweit nach China an zweiter Stelle bei der Honigproduktion und an neunter Stelle bei seinen Exporten. Insgesamt verkaufte Türkiye im Jahr 2023 9.383 Tonnen Honig ins Ausland.

Türkischer Honig wird in 59 Länder exportiert, wobei die drei größten Länder die USA, Deutschland und Israel sind. Im vergangenen Jahr begann die Türkei erstmals, Honig nach China, Schweden, Usbekistan und mehreren afrikanischen Ländern zu verkaufen. Experten zufolge wird in diesem Jahr mehr Honig gesammelt als im letzten Jahr, was bedeutet, dass die Lieferungen ins Ausland zunehmen werden.

Mittlerweile wird in der Türkei in fast allen Provinzen Honig produziert, Imker werden von den Behörden tatkräftig unterstützt, in der Provinz Antalya erhalten sie beispielsweise regelmäßig neue Bienenstöcke. Die Bienenzucht ist ein profitables Geschäft, das von vielen Menschen im Land, insbesondere in den südlichen Regionen, betrieben wird.
