Alanya Markets: Where, When & What to Buy

Alanya isn’t just about sunny beaches and vibrant nightlife — it’s also a paradise for market lovers! Every day of the week brings a new opportunity to explore local bazaars, taste fresh produce, find unique souvenirs, and experience authentic Turkish life. Here’s your guide to Alanya’s markets by day:

Monday: Oba Market

Kick off the week in Oba, where the market sets up along Hacikadir Cd., next to the local school. From fresh fruits and vegetables to homemade sweets and spices, it’s the perfect place to stock up for the week ahead. The lively atmosphere makes shopping a true local experience.

Tuesday: Alanya & Mahmutlar

Alanya Market — located near Ismet Pasa Cd., Kizlarpinari Mah., close to Anadolu Hospital — is a convenient spot for picking up fresh fruits, vegetables, and local products.

Mahmutlar Market — on Mehmet Cekir Sk., Barbaros Street — offers a wide variety of goods, from fresh produce to textiles and souvenirs. Two different locations, both worth visiting!

Wednesday: Kestel & Konakli

Midweek brings markets in Kestel and Konakli. Kestel’s market is located on the central street, near the local school or mosque, while Konakli’s is in the village center, opposite the Club Turtas Beach hotel. These markets are perfect for fresh fruits, vegetables, and local delicacies.

Thursday: Tosmur

On Thursday, explore Tosmur Market on 9. Sokak, near the Municipality and Saritas Hotel. It’s a wonderful spot for seasonal fruits and vegetables, clothing, and household items, all in a charming neighborhood setting.

Friday: Alanya City Center

Fridays are for the big city market in central Alanya, located in Sekerhane on Sinanoglu Sk., near the bus terminal and LC Waikiki. With a huge selection of fresh produce, clothing, shoes, and souvenirs, it’s perfect for a full shopping day.

Saturday: Mahmutlar & Cikcilli

Saturday markets await in Mahmutlar, near the Akdeniz Shopping Center, and in Cikcilli, next to Migros 5. It’s the ideal day to stock up for the weekend while enjoying the colorful market atmosphere.

💡 Tip: Visiting Alanya’s markets is not just about shopping — it’s about immersing yourself in local culture, discovering flavors, and experiencing the city like a true local. Plan your market visits by day to make the most of every trip!
